With the memory of a thumping defeat against Cheltenham still fresh in their minds, the Nike Academy lads made a winning start to the new year with a comprehensive win at Southend United. Even the bleak weather couldn't dampen Academy spirits, as Dooby bagged a brace against his old club, and the pain of previous defeats was exorcised once and for all.
