For their latest Blackbox Session, Jamie & Will got busy with pyrotechnics, thermographic cameras and several hundred feet of hose. It sounds like something the A-team might throw together, but their session with Is Tropical was the first ever live thermographic broadcast and shot straight to number one in the Myspace video charts.

Dubstep icon Benga's only gone and produced another classic, this time for the ever-soulful Katy B - an artist widely tipped to take over the planet before the end of 2010. It's the latest in a long line of stonkers to come out of Rinse FM, and it's got the airwaves buzzing from Brixton to Brooklyn.

A first promo under the AM banner for director Johny Mourgue (props!), it's the first half of his two-part collaboration with Katy. Once you've tired of this one (as if...), check back for the second installment, Louder, due for release at the end of the month.

St Augustine's Tower is pretty bewitching at the best of times but when you've got a trio of the sweetest songstresses in tow, the place takes on an altogether more magical atmosphere. The latest and most soulful instalment of Jamie's Kaleidoscope(s) sessions features the lovely Mountain Man, who the Guardian are labeling 'the female Fleet Foxes'. Then again, they're MySpace page touts them as 'a creature growing from the mouths of: Molly Erin Sarle, Alexandra Sauser-Monnig, Amelia Randall Meath'. We just reckon they're freakin' cool. Apparently Jamie agreed to make this video for SixNationState whilst drunk. As the story goes, he awoke the next morning to find the band standing at his front door. In true 'Ready, Steady, Cook' fashion, he nipped to Tesco with a tenner (the band's entire budget) and returned twenty minutes later with two fish, some pears and a French stick. We'd like to see Ainsley Harriot come up with anything this good...

Director Mike Simpson collaborated with Tinie once again, using his extensive promo experience to prove that it's possible to straddle that awkward music/advertising fence without getting splinters... Ouch!

Quite where the concept for Jamie Roberts' latest experimental promo came from, no one really knows. Then again, if pickling your brain in ginger beer and then freezing your extremities off in a baltic Dungeness isn't enough to spark a bit of inspiration, what is?

Thanks to the wonderful Belleruche for putting up with the cold, along with the nuclear fallout of a weekend on Europe's largest expanse of shingle beach.

Clockwatching was Nemone's Video of the Week on BBC 6Music, and is out on Tru Thoughts Records on 23rd August 2010. I'd buy it if I were you.
