And with guest coaches from Europe and the States on hand to offer the finest advice in the game, the National Sports Centre at Crystal Palace became a shop window for raw British talent.

In the words of community coach Sterling Muschett, 'Basketball is life: you get out what you put in.' Nowhere is that truer than at Lilian Baylis Old School, where Sterling and co-coach Junior Williams are using the game as a tool to inject passion and discipline into the lives of youngsters in their community.

These are the Gamechangers who are making a real difference to the young people they coach. As Junior says, whether or not their players end up playing pro 'ball, the programme's real aim is to make good, honest people.

We followed the heats right across the UK, starting here at the Score in East London. Prepare for some in-yer-face dunks, huge rejections, and a great day of 'ball for everyone involved.
